Brandon Trosclair, a Gonzales busine ssman, filed to run for Secretary of State on Tuesday.

“Our sacred right to vote should be safe and secure, but recent elections around the country and in Louisiana have caused citizens to lose trust in our election process,” Trosclair said. National polls now reveal that almost 2/3 of likely voters believe that federal and state elections officials are ignoring their concerns about election integrity.

“I have traveled around the state for the past seven months listening to citizens’ concerns in dozens of parishes. They are shocked to learn that according to the Legislative Auditor election results in Louisiana have never been audited and cannot be audited. That is shameful and I am running to clean up our elections and protect the civil rights of all citizens.”

Voting Machines Used in Louisiana Elections Exposed as Highly Vulnerable in New Report

Security analysis of the Dominion ImageCastX ballot marking device (BMD) reveals critical vulnerabilities that can be exploited to subvert all election security measures, Secretary of State Candidate Brandon Trosclair calls for immediate decertification of all Dominion voting systems used in Louisiana to protect Louisiana citizens voting rights.

A 96-page report entitled Security Analysis of the Dominion ImageCastX ballot marking device (BMD) authored by national election technology expert Professor J. Alex Halderman Ph.D. was released by US District Judge Totenberg in Atlanta on June 14, 2023, after being sealed and withheld from American citizens for two years.

The report was prepared for plaintiffs in the Curling v Raffensperger case, which challenges Georgia's state-wide "universal-use BMD's" in all counties. Evidence provided in the report supports the plaintiffs claim that Georgia's BMD voting system is so insecure that it violates voter's constitutional rights.

Principal findings in the report "show that the ICX suffers from critical vulnerabilities that can be exploited to subvert all of its security mechanisms, including user authentication, data integrity, protection access control, privilege separation, audit logs, protective counters, hash validation, and external firmware validation."

The report "demonstrates these vulnerabilities provide multiple routes by which attackers can install malicious software on Georgia's BMDs, either with temporary physical access or remotely from election management systems (EMSs)." It also explains, "how such malware can alter voter’s votes while subverting all of the procedural protections practiced by the State, including acceptance testing, hash validation, logic and accuracy testing, external firmware validation, and risk-limiting audits (RLAs)."

The report raises troubling questions about the ability of election system vendors, as well as federal and state elections officials to evaluate and certify complex electronic voting systems.

Professor Halderman recommends that "the most effective remedy for the problems found and others like them is to rely less on BMDs." It also notes that "in most of the U.S. voters mark ballots by hand, and BMDs like the ICX are reserved as an assistive technology for voters who need them."

Secretary of State Candidate Brandon Trosclair commenting on the report said, "Given the severe threat to the security and protection of Louisiana citizens' voting rights posed by the Dominion ImageCastX BMDs and the Dominion Democracy Suite EMS the Secretary of State should immediately decertify these systems. We should move to implement secure hand-marked, hand-counted paper ballots at the precinct level in compliance with Louisiana Constitution Article XI Section 2 which states, "ballots shall be counted in public."

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Jan. 13, 2022) — This afternoon the U.S. Supreme Court blocked in a 6-3 decision a federal vaccine mandate that would have affected more than 80 million Americans. The High Court reinstated the nationwide stay won by Louisiana grocery store owner Brandon Trosclair, owner of BST Holdings LLC, and a group of Texas employees represented by the national Liberty Justice Center and the Louisiana-based Pelican Institute. Today’s ruling represents a historic victory against government overreach and intrusion into the lives of American citizens, and a tremendous triumph over egregious federal policies that have grossly violated Americans’ fundamental rights.

“Today’s ruling represents a monumental victory for all Americans, and a reminder that the Biden Administration and the federal government cannot rule by executive fiat,” said Patrick Hughes, president and co-founder of the Liberty Justice Center . “The Supreme Court saw this mandate for what it really is: An attempt to bypass Congress and the will of the American people. Trosclair employs nearly 500 people across 16 grocery stores in Louisiana and Mississippi. His lawsuit, BST Holdings v. OSHA, was filed in November and was responsible for the initial suspension of the federal vaccine mandate at that time.

In its order, the court clearly lays out that regulating the health of the general public falls outside of the power delegated to OSHA by Congress:

“Applicants are likely to succeed on the merits of their claim that the Secretary lacked authority to impose the mandate. Administrative agencies are creatures of statute. They accordingly possess only the authority that Congress has provided.”

“The question, then, is whether the Act plainly authorizes the Secretary’s mandate. It does not.”

“It is telling that OSHA, in its half century of existence, has never before adopted a broad public health regulation of this kind—addressing a threat that is untethered, in any causal sense, from the workplace.”
